Independent Building Inspection
In Türkiye, building safety is not a theoretical matter. Oğuzhan Building Inspection inspects compliance with the permit drawings and the seismic code within the framework of Law No. 4708. Standing on the inspection side gives the whole group something: we know from the field at which stage and in which trade errors appear, and the same rigor applies on our own construction sites.
Once a building is finished, no one can see its foundations or its rebar; the people who will live in it have to assume it is safe. Building inspection removes that assumption and puts physical evidence and verification in its place. We carry that responsibility, for the safety of people we will never meet, by verifying on site at every stage.
Pre-permit review of architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical projects for compliance with regulations and with each other.
Verification of the ground survey report; on-site confirmation that excavation and foundation works match the project.
Rebar placement, concrete cover and concrete sampling procedures; tracking and reporting of laboratory results.
Preparation of progress payment and stage completion records at every level of construction, with notification to the relevant authority.
Inspection of statutory occupational health and safety conditions on site and reporting of deficiencies.
The inspection leg of the completion certificate and occupancy permit process once the building is finished.
Inspection reports go directly to the building owner; they do not pass through the contractor.
No move to the next stage until an identified non-conformity is resolved.
Concrete and rebar samples are tested in an accredited laboratory; results are entered into the record.
For an inspector, stating the limits clearly is not a weakness; it is a condition of the job. Three things, in writing, from the start:
Law No. 4708 prohibits inspecting a building in which one has an interest. This separation is not our preference but a condition of the profession, and rightly so.
Assignments come to us from outside. No commercial relationship of choice exists between inspector and inspected; that is exactly what makes inspection meaningful.
A building inspection firm is on the side of the law and the building owner, not of whoever builds it. That is why reports go directly to the owner.
